Description
Made from 100% african shea butter, softened with just a dash of cherry kernel oil, this body butter quickly hydrates and soothes dry skin. Unlike mineral oils that skin can't absorb, real shea nut butter is readily absorbed by the skin, sealing-in moisture and protecting delicate, stressed skin.

Tamarinda shea butter does not contain any artificial ingredients or preservatives and is not whipped or cut with water based lotions. Simply smooth onto dry skin. If you've never used real shea butter, it may feel a bit heavy at first.

Directions for use: Shea butter is solid at room temperature, but melts between 89-94 degrees. Just scoop a quarter-sized dollop into your hands and rub together. The shea will melt into your palms. Spread a thin layer over your skin, then rub in more deeply. It may feel a bit heavy at first, but after about 10 minutes, the shea is absorbed and your skin will feel silky and smooth.

6.5 oz, or large 12 oz. jar in unscented, coconut or lavender.

Want to know more? In the U.S. we are just beginning to recognize the considerable health and beauty benefits of ecologically-sustainable shea butter. For thousands of years shea butter has been used to help heal burns, sores, scars, dermatitis, psoriasis, dandruff, even eczema. It is renowned for diminishing wrinkles, promoting cell renewal, and increasing circulation. Shea butter effectivness is due in part to the various fatty acids it contains, which help to retain skin moisture and elasticity and are proven to protect from both environmental and free-radical damage. Containing vitamins A and E, pure shea butter has demonstrated both antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. (Please note: you should always consult a physician or dermatologist about serious or persistent skin problems. Shea butter is not recommended for people with nut or latex allergies).

I needed something that would help my extremely dry feet. They were so callused it was unbelievable! Using the Shea butter has really softened them up and they have stayed softer than just using lotion. Now I am using the shea butter on other really dry spots such as elbows, knees and hands. My hands get extemely dry since I do pottery in my spare time. The scent I chose (lavender) is also very soothing.
