Trying a Reed Diffuser for the very first time? You're going to love them!
What are they? Reed Diffusers are the latest in home fragrance. They use the air circulation in your home to spread the scent. They contain a special blend of fragrance oil and diffusing base which optimizes the evaporation or "throw" of scent. Rattan reeds are used to wick the fragrance oil up from the glass base and into the air. Each individual reed has several chambers that are especially condusive to drawing the fragrance oil up from the submerged bottom to the tips - ordinary sticks don't work! Keep in mind that reed diffusers are much safer than candles, because you don't need a flame. This makes them the perfect home fragrance solution for your home if you have kids or pets and they are a great solution for older folks too. They last longer than candles - just 6.5 oz. of fragrance oil in a Tamarinda reed diffuser will last approximately 7-9 months! So what are you waiting for? Try a Tamarinda reed diffuser today!
Getting Started Just unscrew the wood collar, remove the plastic plug from the base and insert the reeds. You can also trim the reeds to any length you like. Just remember, the longer the reeds, the more fragrance they will 'throw'. Flip the reeds every now and then during the first week until they are saturated. After that, you don't need to touch them for months!
Running out of fragrance?
No problem - we offer refills - a Tamarinda exclusive! If you decide to change fragrances, just use the new set of reeds we'll send you (best to use new reeds with a new fragrance).

Storing your reed diffuser If you are interested in purchasing one of our fantastic holiday scents, but don't necessarily want these special seasonal fragrances around in June, just put it away until next season! Remove the reeds, wrap them in some plastic wrap, and place in a baggie. Reinsert the plastic plug into the base and screw back on the wooden collar. Store it in a cool, dark place until next year. Our seasonal reed diffuser sets should last a minimum of 3 seasons if closed and stored in this way.
